Introduction

Dear colleagues,

The target of this study is to observe the clinical importance of current scoring-systems (AIS, ISS, NISS) as well as the respective interobserver variability in the context of the subjective assessment of severely injured patients.

Therefore you are kindly requested to assess 5 detailed depicted cases of polytraumatized patients. Your estimate of the AIS severity will be compared with the correct AIS severity values assigned by best practice according to AAAM AIS coding rules.

Participation is voluntary. After completion of the data collection, the data are exported to a statistical software and the online survey is deleted. No traceability will be possible from this point onwards. No financial compensation is provided. The data are not passed onto third parties and analyzed anonymously only within the framework of this study. Ethnical consent has been given by the ethics committee.

By completing the survey, you give your consent.

Best regards,

J. Scherer, Prof. Dr. med. H.-C. Pape, E. Bolierakis, PD Dr. med. R. Pfeifer

We kindly want to thank Dr. med. Sylvia Schick, M.P.H. postgrad., CAISS, for her support and providing the AIS codes according to AIS© 2015.
