What fun ways could listeners or Sidewalk Talk members create more belonging outside of "listening on sidewalks" during this quarantine (and maybe long into the future) that still follows our core values of 1) Compassion between equals 2) Inclusion 3) Connection not assuming someone needs helping or fixing 4) Connecting across difference? We want them to be joyful, creative, fun, inclusive, easy to execute operationally and inventive.

Random Kindness:

Offer to Sidewalk Talk Style Listen To Loved Ones:
Reach out to 5 people you know a week and offer Sidewalk Talk-style listening. Let me tell you, offering this to familiar folks is a trip. Silence. Mirroring. Reflection. Use your own video chat of choice. But stretch into a new way of listening. You could even post this on social media with different times you are free and let people sign up for a 15-minute slot. You could listen to first responders.
You Matter Snail Mail:
Just like holiday cards, send out
You Matter To Me
Cards or Hand Drawn Pictures with the same sentiment to 3 people per week.
Sidewalk Talk Member Pals:
We pair up Sidewalk Talk members to send an appreciative note via email or snail mail once a week. Those member pals could also choose to listen together once a week.
