Join the Startup Unit at VivaTech in Paris - Europe's biggest startup and tech event!
VivaTech accelerates innovation by bringing together startups, technology leaders, large corporates and investors to tackle the world's biggest challenges. Every year, Europe's largest technology and startup event takes place in Paris over four exciting days, exploring the most disruptive technology topics with world premieres, launches and conferences in a collaborative ecosystem. This is where business meets innovation.
More than 11,400 startups, 2,600 investors and over 90,000 visitors from almost 150 countries come together over four days to exchange ideas about the technologies of the future, network and meet profitable partners, conclude deals and enter into long-term partnerships.
Be there when VivaTech takes place for the ninth time from 11 to 14 June 2025 at the Expo site Porte de Versailles, Paris (https://vivatechnology.com).
This year, the Startup-Unit Hamburg is supporting four Hamburg startups to experience VivaTech. The participating startups will be offered the following:
- 1 exhibitor pass per startup
- one pitch slot on the stage of the French-German Tech Lab / Germany, Hall 1
o Mention in the official Viva programme and stand programme
o Social media communication before and during the pitches
- Use of the Startup Germany/ French-German Tech Lab to use the lab as a meeting point and invite partners for a coffee (no cloakroom included)
- On-site support from Hamburg Invest
- Participation in the German Startup Night on 11. 06.2024: The German Startup Night is the networking highlight outside the exhibition centre for German startups looking for access to corporates, VCs, investors, institutional and research institutions as well as sparring partners. The Startup Night is reserved exclusively for the hosts and their startups as well as the jointly defined guests. The aim is to create a balance of corporates, investors and startups.
- Cooperation fee in the amount of 500€

What are the requirements for the application?
- Company headquarters in Hamburg (commercial register entry serves as proof)
- Age of the startup max. 10 years
- Meaningful proof of a strong product-market fit for your own product
- Presentation of a well-founded entrepreneurial interest in participating in VivaTech 2025
The booking and organisation of the trip is carried out by the participants themselves. The Startup Unit provides support with match-making in advance and on site.
The Startup Unit is a department of Hamburg Invest Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft mbH and receives its funding from the Ministry of Economics and Innovation.

How does the selection process work?
- Receipt by the deadline
- Evaluation based on maturity, scalability and international marketability by a jury of experts based on the information submitted.
The selected start-ups will be notified by e-mail by Friday 23 May at the latest.
