Welcome to the DSO Questionnaire on the TDC Flexibility Market
The TDC (TSO-DSO Coordination) market is a future flexibility market being developed by AEM, Axpo, BKW, CKW, ewz, Groupe E, Primeo Energie, Romande Energie, St. Galler Stadtwerke, and Swissgrid. Its goal is to enable distribution system operators (DSOs) and the transmission system operator (TSO) to procure and activate local flexibility from distributed energy resources (DER) via market-based mechanisms. This in turn should improve grid stability, support the integration of renewable energy, and even defer grid reinforcements where possible. By coordinating flexibility across system levels, the TDC market is expected to bring operational benefits and enable DSOs to play a more active role in grid optimization and congestion management. Further information about the project is available on the Swissgrid website (Research & Development – TDC)
This questionnaire aims to gather your input to support the further development of the TDC flexibility market. Your perspective is crucial to ensure that the market design aligns with DSO needs and operational realities.
Please note:
Please note:
- There are two questionnaires—one for DSOs and one for FSPs. You are currently in the DSO questionnaire.
- To ensure that your responses are well informed and aligned with the market concept, please consult the supporting document (link below) before or while filling out the questionnaire. It contains explanations of the key products, processes, and assumptions, and may help answer questions that arise as you fill out the questionnaire.
The questionnaire is divided into the following sections:
- Products & Market Volume – Your perspective on the operational challenges in your grid and the relevance of different flexibility products
