The Role

We’re looking for a sharp, organized number cruncher to join our small, but mighty finance team. From accounting to tax to treasury to planning and budgeting, our group supports all aspects of the business to make sure SurveyMonkey grows and stays healthy. We are seeking a top tier senior analyst to join the Corporate Controller’s organization in the Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting team. Reporting to the Technical Accounting & Reporting Senior Manager, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated / detail-oriented contributor with a strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Manager in preparation of quarterly SEC filings (Forms 8-K, 10-Q and 10-K) including supporting schedules
  • Timely and efficiently prepare workpapers supporting external disclosures and management reporting (including balance sheet, income statement and cash flows)
  • Perform benchmarking of disclosure best practices and recommendations to management
  • Assist Senior Manager in coordinating quarterly deliverables with external auditors and FP&A
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of external reporting related internal controls
  • Assist Senior Manager in evaluation of new accounting standards (new ASUs) and non-standard transactions (e.g. equity grants, acquisitions, impairment assessments, etc…)
  • Assist with ad-hoc technical accounting research and preparation of technical accounting memos

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+years of accounting and/or audit experience
  • Big 4 or national accounting firm experience
  • CPA license (or equivalent certification)
  • Strong understanding and application of US GAAP and internal controls
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented and strong organization and documentation skills
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Experience with Netsuite
  • Experience with Equity Edge
  • Experience with XBRL and DFS Active Disclosure
