The Role

We are looking for a disciplined Enterprise Operations Center (Network Operations Center) Director.  This role will build and manage a team of engineers who are proactive, collaborative, and tasked with automating metrics and reporting of overall site health. This leader is highly responsive, able to think under pressure, and thrives on the challenges of sustaining highly available systems in a rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to lead a team that develops automation to recognize patterns, allowing the team to anticipate, detect, and resolve system issues.


  • Create and lead the Enterprise Operations Center (Network Operations Center) engineering team that provides the active, 24-hour monitoring of our production services
  • Create and manage escalation, incident management and resolution processes
  • Manage swift escalation and resolution of issues that affect the availability of production systems
  • Oversees creation of automation to facilitate key activities such as timely triage of issues, rapid system recovery, and speedy validation of service restoration
  • Increase visibility and drive improvements in core site operational metrics
  • Build strong partnerships with other teams inside and outside of Engineering
  • Coach and mentor talented engineers


  • 10+ years of reliability and/or systems engineering experience
  • 4+ years of successful operations management experience in a technical operations environment
  • Previous operational responsibility in a highly available, distributed systems environment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams
  • Capable of leading a discussion with upper management
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
